Japanese Seed Beads
We stock Miyuki seed beads, Matsuno seed beads and Toho seed beads, these are the 3 main Japanese manufacturers of the best quality seed beads available. All beads are the finest quality and are uniform in size with large holes. They are beautiful to work with.
Seed beads are available in number of sizes, colours and finishes:
Size 15° seed beads are the smallest, approx 1.3 to 1.5mm
Size 11° seed beads are the next smallest, and most widely used, approx 1.8 to 2.2mm
Size 8° seed beads are also a popular size, 2.6 to 3.1mm
Size 6° seed beads are the largest round seed beads we stock, approx 3.3 to 4.0mm
Seed beads are also available in shapes: drops, cubes, triangles, bugels, hex and hex twist
Perhaps the most widely know seed beads are Delicas, these are tubular shaped round beads that are veryuniform in size, so work up very neatly in loom work and all types of flat beadwork. We stock Delicas in the most common size 11, and the newly released size 15, even smaller to get finer detail in your beadwork.
The Charlotttes we currently stock are Czech and Japanese beads, these have a single facet cut in them for extra sparkle. The size 15 charlotte is slightly smaller than a Japanese charlotte.
